Wayru allows anyone to increase and split hotspot rewards by staking $WAYRU tokens.

This mechanism removes tokens from circulation and aligns holders’ interests with network performance.

This is what real DePIN staking looks like.

Technical Breakdown

• No deposit: 1.0X

• Per-token increment: +0.000002X multiplier per 1 $WAYRU deposited

• Minimum deposit: 25,000 $WAYRU → 1.05X multiplier

• Maximum effective deposit: 1,000,000 $WAYRU → 3.0X multiplier

• Your deposit locks for 90 days

How DePIN Staking Works

1. Deposit WAYRU

   1. Go to https://explorer.wayru.io (coming soon)

   2. Connect your wallet.

   3. Find the Hotspot you want to stake in to boost its rewards.

   4. Deposit up to 1’000,000 $WAYRU per Hotspot to get a multiplier of up to 3.0X for that Hotspot's rewards.

2. Boost Rewards are Shared

   • Additional rewards (above 1.0X) are split:

     • 50% to the depositor

     • 50% to the hotspot operator

3. Multiplier Applies Instantly

   • A 1.0X base multiplier is granted at 0 $WAYRU deposited.

   • For every additional 1 $WAYRU you deposit, you add a +0.000002X multiplier

   • Add up to a 3.0X multiplier when 1,000,000 $WAYRU is deposited.

4. Withdraw Deposit

   • This deposit will be locked for 90 days, meaning it cannot be withdrawn during this period.

   • At any time after the first mandatory 90-day lock, you may withdraw.

   • You may ONLY withdraw the whole deposit amount at once.

5. Adjust Deposit

• At any time, you may top up your deposit and lock up more $WAYRU.

• Your multiplier updates immediately based on the new deposit amount.

• Once a new deposit is made, the 90-day lock is reset and starts again.

Rewards Split Breakdown

• Let’s assume a hotspot gets a 2 for the Daily Hotspot Score for an epoch.

• Let's assume that getting a score of 2 earns said hotspot 10 $WAYRU, at 1.0X with no DePIN staking.

• Now, let’s assume a token holder decides to deposit 1M $WAYRU to boost said hotspot.

• The Hotspot’s Daily score is boosted by 3.0X, from 2 to 6.

• Now let’s assume that with the boosted score, the Hotspot now earns 30 $WAYRU for the epoch instead of 10 $WAYRU.

• The extra 20 $WAYRU earned in said epoch is split as follows:

  • 10 to depositor (50%)

  • 10 to operator (50%)

• ONLY THE EXTRA generated rewards from the boost are split between the operator and the depositor.

• The Operator always keeps their base rewards in full before the DePIN Staking Booster kicks in.

FAQ

• Can I deposit 1 $WAYRU?

  Yes, every whole token adds +0.000002X. NO fractions are allowed.

• What if I withdraw my tokens?

  Withdrawing your deposit resets you to a 1X multiplier.

• Is there a lock-up period?

  Yes, there is a 90-day mandatory lockup period. Deposits are available for withdrawal at any time after the first 90 days; however, multipliers revert to 1X immediately.

• Can one user boost multiple hotspots?

  Yes, each hotspot manages its own deposit. Deposit separately for each hotspot and get different multipliers on each one.
