Network Rewards

Token rewards encourage collaboration, ensuring a sustainable and expanding decentralized network.

Rewards in the Wayru ecosystem incentivize participation by distributing $WAYRU tokens to users who contribute to network growth and activity — such as deploying hotspots or processing transactions. Rewards are distributed daily using smart contracts.

Manufacturers Incentive

  • 1% of all Network Rewards are allocated to Hotspot Manufacturers.

  • This incentive ensures the continuous design and deployment of Wayru-enabled units, allowing the network to grow indefinitely.

  • Currently, Wayru Inc. is the only approved manufacturer of Wayru Hotspots.

Types of Hotspot Rewards

The remaining daily rewards pool is split into two categories:

Uptime-Based Incentives (wUBI)

  • Distributed among all active hotspots based on uptime.

  • Starts at 85% of rewards, decreasing by 20% per year until stabilizing at 5%.

Usage-Participation Incentives (wUPI)

  • Distributed among all active hotspots based on usage.

  • Starts at 15% of rewards, increasing by 20% per year until reaching 95%.

Reward Period

  • Rewards are distributed on a per-epoch basis, with each epoch lasting 24 hours.

  • Daily emissions are allocated transparently through smart contracts.

This dual reward model ensures that both reliability (uptime) and demand (usage) are rewarded, creating a balanced system that grows stronger as adoption increases.
