Location Type

A Location Type multiplier encourages deployments in high-value areas. To qualify for a multiplier, each hotspot deployment must complete a Deployment KYC process, submitting exact address details, installation photographs, and a 360-degree street view. This ensures accurate classification and an improved in-app experience for both Telco partners and end-users.

Location Type Descriptions

Non-KYC Deployments lacking a completed Deployment KYC (missing address verification, photos, or 360° street view). These hotspots are also excluded from Premium Data usage rewards, such as carrier offloading.

Residential Private homes, apartment complexes, and similar properties typically provide basic coverage for their residents.

Commercial High-traffic venues with regular foot traffic and predictable customer bases, such as cafes, restaurants, retail shops, hotels, co-working spaces, and malls.

Special Non-traditional or event-driven locations that experience concentrated surges of users but not continuous traffic, such as stadiums, concert halls, conference centers, pop-up events, and festivals.

Deployment KYC Requirements

  1. Exact Address

    • Full street address including venue/house number, city, and postal code.

  2. Installation Photos

    • Clear images showing the hotspot in its final mounted location.

  3. 360° Street View

    • Panoramic capture of the surrounding area to verify traffic patterns and environment.

  4. Location Declaration

    • Confirmation of whether the site is Commercial, Special, or Residential.

Wayru will verify all submissions before applying the appropriate multiplier. Incomplete or incorrect KYC submissions will default to the Non-KYC multiplier. Continuous audits ensure data integrity and accurate reward distribution.

*Location Type multipliers will begin after TGE.
