Hosts

Assigning a Host to your Hotspot.

The success of each Hotspot relies heavily on hosts. These are often local businesses or individuals who provide a location, electricity, and sometimes even backhaul connectivity. Hosts play a pivotal role in making internet access accessible to all.

Hotspot Operators can assign a Hotspot to a Host by paying $50 USD in $SOL plus transaction fees to update the Non-fungible node's metadata so the Host can claim their rewards.

When assigning the Hotspot to a Host, the Hotspot Operator sets a percentage for the host's rewards.

The host receives a notification to accept the offer and has to validate the device's final location.

The Hotspot Operator and the Host negotiate the percentage directly.
