Wayru operates as a decentralized Internet network using community-operated Hotspots. The community participates by deploying Hotspots anywhere, preferably where connectivity is most needed, with all participants rewarded for providing Internet access.

There are three (3) ways to deploy infrastructure:

Place your miner in homes, coffee shops, salons, fitness centers, and more, and earn rewards for uptime and user connections.

Telcos will be charged for offloading data for their subscribers onto Wayru’s community-deployed hotspots, offering a cheaper alternative to network expansion.

Users access the network via a mobile app available on iOS and Android or through a Captive Portal. The network supports enterprise-grade connectivity using Passpoint and OpenRoaming protocols, allowing users to seamlessly connect from one network to another without needing to log in again.

All participants are rewarded: operators for providing internet access and users for maintaining network health by validating networks through the app.
