To calculate wUPI, we use two (3) references: the wUPI rewards pool, the individual Hotspot Usage Score, and the Network Usage Score.
The total number of $WAYRU available in the wUPI rewards pool is divided by the Network Usage Score and then multiplied by the Hotspot Usage Score to determine the amount of $WAYRU distributed per Hotspot per epoch.
There are three types of GB access on the network:
Premium GB:
Telcos purchase these GBs using fiat or crypto to offload Carrier Data.
1 Premium GB equals 1 point toward the daily Hotspot Usage Score
Freemium GB:
Users consume these GBs via Wayru's mobile app or native captive portal.
100 Fremium GB equals 1 point toward the daily Hotspot Usage Score
Non-paid GB:
OpenRoaming or similar unsettled WiFi access.
1,000 Non-paid GB equals 1 point toward the daily Hotspot Usage Score.
Premium has a 1:1, Freemium has a 100:1, and Non-paid has a 1,000:1 ratio toward the daily Hotspot Usage Score.
